There will be 3 events held on June 6, 13 and 18

Speaking of Nature Series

FLCC Muller Field Station,

Note: Canoes, life jackets and paddles will be provided, participants are invited to bring their own kayaks. Children must be accompanied by a guardian. For children under the age of 12, please bring your own life jacket.

Thursday, June 6, 6:00-8:00 PM – Channel Paddle with Alli Esposito, Conservation Education Program Coordinator at Muller Field Station. Canoe or kayak through the beautiful Honeoye Inlet wetlands and learn about their importance for water quality protection and wildlife habitat. We will also look for sign of wetland mammals, including beaver, muskrat and river otter. Limited to 12 people so make your reservation early.

Thursday, June 13, 6:00-8:00 PM – Channel Paddle with Bruce Gilman, Director of Muller Field Station. Canoe or kayak through the beautiful Honeoye Inlet wetlands and learn about the role of wetlands in protecting the water quality of Honeoye Lake. Also learn about wildlife and wetland plant indicators. Limited to 12 people so make your reservation early.

Tuesday, June 18, 6:00-8:00 PM – Channel Paddle with Berna Ticonchuk, FLCC Technician and Adjunct Instructor. Canoe or kayak through the beautiful Honeoye Inlet wetlands and learn about this distinct habitat area. Learn about the unique aquatic/semi-aquatic plants in the southern Honeoye Valley, their specialized adaptations and role in the wetland community. Limited to 12 people so make your reservation early.
