The HVA works on a number of projects on a regular basis to improve the quality of life for residents and lake users of Honeoye Lake. 
This includes: 

• ·        Acts as a citizens advocate on lake issues with governmental agencies 
• ·        Performs water quality sampling of the lake  
• ·        Conducts survey of aquatic vegetative growth to detect any new invasive plants 
• ·        Installed and maintains a lake level monitoring system 
• ·        Coordinates an annual roadside cleanup 
• ·        Provides volunteer workers for HLWTF projects 
• ·        In cooperation with FLCC, presents a monthly “Speaking of Nature” lecture series 
• ·        Publishes a quarterly newsletter of HVA activities 
• ·        Maintains lake information center in Honeoye Public Library 
• ·        Maintains a website
