The first public meeting for the NYS Blue Green Algae $65M program has been announced. 

On March 20 from 6 PM to 8PM, the third summit (North Country Region) will be held and can be seen via live streaming using the link at the bottom of this event.


On March 26th, from 6-8 PM, a BGA Summit Session will be held at Monroe Community College. The session will be an opportunity for the DEC staff and the DEC’s expert panel on blue-green algae blooms to share their knowledge and recommendations for the Honeoye Lake HABs action plan.  The session is also a forum for all lake residents to ask the DEC and the experts questions and offer your ideas for consideration.

There will be 4 sessions across the region, each addressing lakes in that region. The MCC session will be the session addressing Honeoye Lake as well as the other lakes in our region.
