For those who wonder what vernal pools are or how they will be implemented around Honeoye Lake, attend the session.
Honeoye Lake's DEC WQIP Round 11 grant has funding for creating several vernal pools on state and non-profit own lands high-up in the Honeoye Lake watershed to hold storm water long enough to slow it down and let it be absorbed into the ground. This will also create wildlife habitat.
