The NYSDEC and EPA have selected Honeoye Lake for a Total Maximum Daily
Load (TMDL) analysis.
The NYSDEC has scheduled a public TMDL project update meeting to present
an overview of their TMDL process, to share their preliminary analysis
results, and to solicit public feedback on the TMDL analysis information
presented Wednesday, August 26, 2014, at 7:00 at the Livonia High School
Cafeteria, 2 Bulldog Blvd., Livonia, NY 14487.
The NYSDEC has requested that you register in advance if you plan to
attend their TMDL project update meeting at:

Basically, the TMDL process will model the various external and internal
nutrient sources that contribute to our lake's water quality issues, set
target nutrient/pollution levels for each controllable nutrient source, and
going forward our grant proposals to address the actions recommended in the
DEC TMDL Final Report will receive a higher priority for funding.
