Night Sensory Awareness Walk – Co-sponsored by the Finger Lakes Museum and Aquarium

Wesley Hill Nature Preserve, town of Richmond

Angela Cannon-Crothers, naturalist, author, instructor for Finger Lakes Community College, and educator at the Finger Lakes Museum and Aquarium, will lead a night hike at the Wesley Hill Nature Preserve.  Tune in to the summer night, learn how our senses adjust to the darkness and explore the nocturnal world.  We’ll set off in search of various plant and animal species.  Please no flashlights (unless covered with red cellophane).  All ages welcome.  Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Directions:  Meet at the Gulick Road entrance!  From Honeoye, take Rt. 20A east to East Lake Road. Follow East Lake Rd. south for a short distance and then turn left on County Rd. 33. Continue a short distance and turn right on Pinewood Hill Rd. Follow Pinewood Hill, then Gulick Road south toward Cumming Nature Center, for a total of 6.4 miles to preserve entrance, on right.
